GREEN MILK FROM THE PLANET ORANGE (JP)

Flying in from Tokyo into Gala Hala’s summer orbit comes the cult progressive rock trio with a name that sounds like a forgotten VHS tape from an intergalactic dairy farm—and music that feels like someone threw krautrock, prog, psychedelia, noise, math rock, and a generous dose of cosmic madness into the same melting pot.

Even when their songs drift into quieter passages, Green Milk From The Planet Orange are anything but background music. This is a band that demands your full attention. Don’t be surprised if, somewhere in the middle of a song, your third eye—or better yet, your third ear—suddenly opens. The drummer seems blissfully unaware of human limitations, the guitar ventures far beyond familiar territory, and the bass somehow keeps the entire beautiful chaos from floating away into deep space.

Formed back in 2001, the band has survived a breakup, reunited, toured relentlessly around the globe, and now finally lands at the inevitable destination for great underground bands sooner or later: Metelkova.

If you’ve started finding most concerts a little too predictable, this might just be your night. One thing is guaranteed:

It won’t be boring.

Music policy: Psych / Prog / Kraut / Noise / Math / Space Rock

Tickets: €10 presale

TRAMHAUS (NL) @ Summer garden

TRAMHAUS (NL)

Over the past two years, Tramhaus have become one of the most talked-about new bands in Europe. The Rotterdam five-piece delivers an explosive blend of nervous post-punk energy, shoegaze haze, raw punk urgency, and, above all, a magnetic live presence.

Following their acclaimed performance at MENT Ljubljana 2024, Tramhaus return to the city as one of the hottest guitar bands on the European circuit. Their debut album, The First Exit (2024), sent Dutch critics into unanimous rapture, earning top scores from de Volkskrant, NRC, and Trouw, while a sold-out show at Amsterdam’s legendary Paradiso firmly cemented their rising status.

But Tramhaus are at their absolute best on stage. Their live shows are chaotic, passionate, unpredictable, and irresistibly euphoric—exactly the kind of concert that leaves you grinning long after the last note has faded.

We’ll catch them fresh off the legendary TAM TAM Festival on the Croatian island of Hvar, right in the middle of the summer touring season.

Join us for a healthy dose of uncompromising Rotterdam swagger.

Music policy: Post-Punk / Shoegaze / New Wave / Indie Rock

Tickets: €12 presale on mojekarte.si, / €15 on the day of the concert

PUTAN CLUB (FR/IT)

+ DJ Vlad

Putan Club is a musical laboratory with no instruction manual.

Avant-garde, techno, industrial, ethnomusicology, jazz, noise, metal, performance art, political protest, and dancefloor trance collide until they become something entirely their own—wild, organic, and uncompromising.

They make no secret of where they stand. Against fascism, racism, sexism, homophobia, capitalist greed, religious fundamentalism, and every form of exclusion. For solidarity, self-organisation, autonomy, feminism, community, empathy, and resistance.

For Putan Club, politics isn’t branding. It’s daily practice.

Vocalist, bassist, and performer Gianna and guitarist, producer, and composer François spend more time on the road than at home. Renowned for their ferocious live performances, they erase the boundaries between noise rock, industrial, techno, avant-garde music, ethnomusicology, free jazz, punk, and improvisation. Rather than belonging to any one genre, Putan Club embraces constant mutation—every album, tour, and collaboration becoming a new exploration of sound, political engagement, and collective experience.

Putan Club has never been just a band. It is a platform where music, activism, performance, and community meet. Deliberately independent, they continue to operate entirely outside the traditional music industry.

We’ve been in love with their uncompromising spirit ever since their first appearance at Gala Hala. Their ability to combine beauty with noise, political conviction without slogans, and activism without posing has made them more than recurring guests—they’ve become friends, and artists whose unwavering dedication to both music and people continues to inspire us.

If you’re looking for a safe night quietly sipping drinks at the bar, this probably isn’t it.

But if you still believe that music can move more than just bodies—that it can move the world—then we’ll see you in front of the stage.

Music policy: Industrial Resistance / Techno Tribalism / Noise Against Apathy

Tickets: €10 via mojekarte.si

DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY @ Gala hala

DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY

TORULSSON

Summer rolls on, and with it comes another hot July night dedicated to alternative classics, timeless dancefloor favourites, and, of course, a healthy dose of guilty pleasures.

Between the noisy gigs and intimate concerts filling the Summer Garden, it’s only right to set aside one evening for dancing to songs everyone knows by heart. Join us on Gala Hala’s dancefloor, where Torulsson will be raising the temperature while we promise not to interrupt your hydration breaks with commercials.

The evening also serves as the perfect warm-up for everyone excited about the upcoming Gorillaz European tour—and as a consolation prize for those who won’t get the chance to catch them live. Their music will form the beating heart of the night.

Born during the golden era of MTV and the age of boy bands, Gorillaz began as Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s response to what they saw as a wave of increasingly generic pop acts. Their solution? Invent a virtual band with far more personality, creativity, and substance. It turned out to be exactly what the music world had been missing.

The fictional band members—and the people behind them—won’t be joining us in person, but there will be plenty of great music, summer vibes, disco lights, and the kind of nostalgia that only the soundtrack of our collective youth can deliver.

Music policy: Alternative Hits from Every Decade + Gorillaz

Admission: €5 before 11 PM / €8 later
