KARABRUKE @ Gala hala

Event: 16. 10. 2026 22:00 Add to calendar

Host: Angel Pornstar

We’re once again inviting both new and familiar faces to step into the spotlight on the Gala Hala stage and belt out your favourite tunes through a proper sound system. This is the perfect opportunity to put your singing skills to the test in a slightly more serious setting.

Bring your grandma, cousins, your third cousin twice removed, your dad, and of course some friends who have no problem being brutally honest with you, so you can dissect your performance together and debate whether you’re finally ready to start sending your promo material to major record labels.

Whatever potential new career you may have in the music industry is entirely up to you. What we can offer is a stage, a sound engineer, a microphone, bold spotlights, a proper club vibe, and, most importantly, hydration.

To make sure the whole thing doesn’t go completely off the rails — so you know when it’s your turn and, should you forget, someone can remind you which song you picked — we have the one and only Galina Karabruke diva, Angel Pornstar, taking care of things.

Naturally, there will be no shortage of awards for boldness, courage, originality, a great voice and impressive dance moves. At the end of the performances, we’ll announce who managed to captivate us the most at this edition of Karabruk.

The prize is two free tickets to a concert of your choice at Gala Hala. Sold-out shows count too!

We’ll also be handing out a consolation prize for something that has less to do with singing: the best performance, the most courage, or simply the most glorious fuck-up.

In short: you came, you saw, you sang!

Music policy: karaoke / alternative hits
Admission: €5 until 11 PM, €8 afterwards

RAPETEK EXTRA: IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE (USA) @ Gala hala

RAPETEK EXTRA: IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE (USA)

Support: VUKI VUK (Munje, SI), SAMO BORIS (SI)

+ DJ BORKA

Felipe Andres Coronel, better known as Immortal Technique, was born in Lima in 1978, just before the outbreak of Peru’s civil war, and grew up in Harlem. But he’s far from just another rapper from New York. He started rapping at the age of nine and went on to establish himself as an activist, an uncompromising voice of the alternative, a thorn in the side of the mainstream, and a fierce critic of the political and social establishment.

While studying, he spent a year in prison, where he immersed himself in the works of Black and Latin American revolutionaries, from Che Guevara to Malcolm X. After returning to the streets of New York, he quickly made a name for himself in freestyle battles, while relentlessly honing his technique, flow and razor-sharp lyrical craft.

He made his first major mark with the mixtape Revolutionary Vol. 1 (2001). Its combination of minimalist boom bap, technically intricate rhymes, uncompromising lyrics and a heavy political charge earned him underground credibility almost overnight. Recorded quickly, on a minimal budget and released independently, the project laid the foundation for the path he would follow throughout his career. Rather than signing with one of the major labels, he deliberately chose to build his career on his own terms.

This was followed by Revolutionary Vol. 2, The 3rd World and numerous high-profile collaborations. His music tackles subjects ranging from religion, colonialism and institutional racism to class struggle and social inequality. And his convictions extend beyond his lyrics: among other things, he helped fund the construction of an orphanage and school in Afghanistan and regularly takes part in various humanitarian initiatives.

Immortal Technique is an MC who stands behind his words: a top-tier lyricist with a ruthless flow, a “rapper’s rapper” and one of the most uncompromising voices in underground hip-hop worldwide.

Before our guest takes the stage, two Ljubljana underground veterans with very different styles will be warming things up. First up is the raspy-voiced street poet, member of the notorious Munje rec. crew and dark boom-bap specialist Vuki Vuk. Then comes veteran, exceptional lyricist, seasoned stage performer and sharp social critic Samo Boris, who is currently working on his new album Čas med koncem vica in izbruhom smeha.

Music policy: hip hop

Admission: €30 presale, €35 on the day of the concert

Quattro, €90: Klemen Klemen (10 Sep), La Coka Nostra (17 Sep), Grandmaster Flash (9 Oct), Immortal Technique (17 Oct) — available exclusively at Big Nose Shop and at the Gala Hala events, limited number of tickets

BALANS (SI): ALBUM RELEASE CONCERT @ Gala hala

Event: 23. 10. 2026 21:00 Add to calendar

BALANS (SI): prisila ne prinese pokoritve — ALBUM RELEASE CONCERT

+ SV. PSETA (SRB)

after: JUPI TER

A new record, a mystical Gala Hala, a cruel world, the same old restlessness. balans are coming to Gala Hala to celebrate the release of their new album prisila ne prinese pokoritve — an ethereal force that refuses to remain trapped between four studio walls and your headphones, demanding a stage, volume and performance.

For the occasion, Gala Hala itself will take on a new form. The space will be transformed into a mystical world created by Serbian artist Veshta Ishtar, turning the concert into a fully immersive visual experience — a landscape where the familiar can suddenly feel strange, and where the line between concert and hallucination begins to blur.

Opening the night will be sv. Pseta, making their Ljubljana debut all the way from Belgrade. Expect just the right amount of noise, energy and Balkan curse to make it perfectly clear that nobody is getting out of this innocent.

For the after, Jupi Ter will take over the DJ booth with a special guitar-energy-inspired selection prepared exclusively for the occasion. No brakes, no rules, no unnecessary questions.

Prepare yourselves for a night where balance is quickly lost.

BALANS: Balans are a Ljubljana-based bunkerpop/art punk duo formed by Andrej Pervanje and Kristin Čona, who have been creating together since 2013. The group occupies a space within the contemporary musical avant-garde, combining the pathos of Yugoslav punk with contemporary performance practices, with parallels stretching from Belgrade to Manchester. They are known for their distinctly artistic approach to both music and visual presentation, frequently collaborating with a wide range of artists, fashion designers and photographers.

SV. PSETA: Sv. Pseta are a Belgrade trio who have already achieved cult status on the local underground scene through a handful of releases. Their sound is unpredictable and untamed, built from a unique blend of instrumental punk, surf, garage rock and noise. They are known for energetic, cathartic performances that quickly pull the audience into their wild and unruly canine playground.

JUPI TER: A Ljubljana-based duo with a soft spot for obscure tracks and a passion for exploring wider musical horizons, Jupi Ter weave together electronic and organic styles, investigating their unusual connections while delivering plenty of infectious pleasure along the way.

POSTER DESIGN: Tina Ocvirk

Music policy: art punk / bunkerpop / garage rock / healthy punk

Admission: €15 presale, €20 on the day of the concert

BBBBBBB (JP), MALA ROZA MUCA & PIXEL.BAMBI, SSMKOSK @ Channel Zero

Furious breakcore beats and mindless barking to make your head hurt! Seven B’s spelling out the name of a Japanese victory hardcore duo.

Japanese duo BBBBBBB combine aggressive 808 breakcore, ’90s rave and hardcore punk into what they call victory hardcore, inspired by their positive messages. Don’t let the name fool you, though: what awaits is hyperactive sonic devastation and a proper stress test for Channel Zero’s sound system.

Their upcoming album Poop Disco, presented on this European tour, will be released by cult label Deathbomb Arc, known for early releases by artists including clipping. and JPEGMAFIA. The duo’s main producer Saionji recently also contributed several tracks to the debut album by Lord Spikeheart, vocalist of Kenyan outfit Duma.

A full-throttle, absolutely unhinged evening.

“Thumps, thrash, cartoon clown horns, snippets of Seinfeld bass, demented cackling, and a banjo/lawnmower/eldritch screaming are all in the mix.” – Emily Bick, The Wire

“BBBBBBB find a balance between noise and nonsense.” – Patrick St. Michel, The Quietus

Like their Japanese counterparts, local digicore champions mala roza muca & pixel.bambi take a playful approach to music, drawing on internet underground culture and contemporary deconstructions of rave. Distorted samples of popular culture, glitches and distortion pile reference upon reference, creating a sonic reflection of information overload — fragmented into a feverish digital dream.

They have performed at festivals including MENT, Niansa and Grounded, and were also selected for the international SHAPE+ platform.

“Their manic, synthetically metallic electronic sound and primitive children’s songs, while a hanging mobile reflects horrific images, still confuses pre-internet minds.” – Žiga Pucelj, Odzven

SsmKOSK, a Yugoslav-Swabian glitchcore/breakcore experimentalist from Ljubljana’s Bežigrad district, has released five solo albums over the past decade and played more than 50 shows in dark clubs and damp basements stretching from the shores of the Black Sea to the eastern edge of Denmark’s Zealand.

In 2023, he released his latest album 610a: notranji petki, where flamenco is taken apart and rebuilt through the language of glitchcore — surprisingly resulting in his most accessible material to date.

“Imagine Paco de Lucía’s melodies being mangled with some kind of sonic shredder, chopped up and turned into an unrestrained and chaotic, yet thrilling sound collage of ‘glitched-out’ flamenco abstractions.” – Jaša Bužinel, Mladina

Music policy: 808 breakcore / victory hardcore / glitchcore

Admission:
€10 presale
€13 on the day of the event
€8 U24*

Tickets are available via Olaii.com, at all 3DVA kiosks and petrol stations, and at the club entrance from doors open onwards.
