Koncertna akademija:
KORMORANA (SI)
SPEJS NOKSI (RS)
ZUBI (RS)
+ lil ris (SI) & DVS (SI)
The last Friday of November at Gala Hala brings a genre-hopping lineup spanning all kinds of musical territories. This high-energy evening was put together by a crew of young, aspiring concert promoters as part of the Koncertna akademija project.
Kicking things off are Kormorana, a trio of heavy-hitting rockers from the Novo Mesto area. They’ll pass the torch to Serbian duo Zubi, purveyors of a punk-rap hybrid, before Serbian wordsmith Spejs Noksi closes out the live programme with his razor-sharp tongue. And, as any lively Friday night should, the evening will continue with a DJ set by familiar dancefloor selectors lil ris and DVS.
Kormorana have been making music together for over a decade. This year, nine years after Uri, they returned with their second full-length album, Leto. Recorded live in the studio, its nine tracks showcase what the band calls “heavy flying rock”, stretching between heavy rock, stoner, blues and psychedelia. Their once-raw stoner-sludge assault has matured into a more versatile beast, equally capable of roaring, floating and daydreaming. Kormorana’s sound is impossible to ignore, and resisting their smoky, down-to-earth heaviness is no easy task. Expect crushing riffs and a generous dose of psychedelia that will linger in your ears long after the show.
Zubi are a Novi Sad duo whose straightforward sound combines punk energy, filthy synths and street rap. Armed with drums, vocals and bass, they deliver aggressive rhythms fuelled by dark humour and uncompromising honesty, turning apparent simplicity into an intense live experience. Despite being relative newcomers, they’ve already played numerous shows, including Zagreb’s INmusic Festival, Changeover Festival, the Samit Nesvrstanih in Belgrade and Novi Sad’s Festival of Street Musicians, where they played their very first gig in 2025. Their debut EP, Bruksizam, was named among the more notable Serbian releases of 2025 by local music critics. Zubi turn their low-budget approach into a clear aesthetic statement. Making their Slovenian debut, they’re definitely worth checking out.
Serbian MC Spejs Noksi is one of the more intriguing and sonically adventurous voices on the regional hip-hop scene. His alternative rap ventures into electronic territory, fuelled by razor-sharp lyrics, dark humour and brutally unfiltered storytelling. On his latest album, Sveto mesto, he wanders through darker landscapes where generational anxiety meets esotericism, cosmic horror, pop culture references and the bizarre realities of provincial Serbia. The result is a raw, unpredictable live performance and a deep dive into his irresistibly compelling universe.
