Hailing from Slovenia’s Gorenjska region, Masharik have become one of the country’s most exciting musical discoveries of recent years. In just over six years, Maša Bogataj (guitar, vocals), Luka Zemljič (keyboards, backing vocals), and Bojan Marinko (drums) have grown into a remarkably cohesive trio whose chemistry feels completely effortless. Their energetic yet understated sound has won over both critics and audiences alike.
Working with renowned producer Žare Pak, the band recorded their acclaimed album Otroci cvetja (Children of Flowers), a collection of thoughtful, emotionally rich songs built around evocative lyrics, memorable guitar riffs, subtle arrangements, and outstanding instrumental solos. Several tracks from the album have become staples of Slovenian radio, while Na dnu morja (“At the Bottom of the Sea”) has firmly established itself as one of the country’s defining songs of recent years.
Masharik’s music connects with listeners on every level—warm, uplifting, and deeply affecting without ever trying too hard. Their exceptional musicianship, beautifully blended vocal harmonies, and impressive catalogue of original songs leave a lasting impression at every performance. More than simply gifted songwriters and accomplished instrumentalists, Masharik are a perfectly synchronized live band whose playful, refined stage presence effortlessly wins over even the most demanding audiences.
